New Life Sciences Building

The Life Sciences Building is the first new building constructed for the Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering in more than 50 years. LEED-certified, the facility opens to students in August 2015. Faculty offices are clustered by research and teaching areas, not departments, to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Some features of the building will themselves be subjects of study; the Green Roof, for example, provides an outdoor laboratory where students will study water runoff patterns and conduct water- and plant-related research.
