Peg Dolan, R.S.H.M.

Four years after the LMU Campus Ministry Center was named for her and three years after her death, Peg Dolan, R.S.H.M., continues guiding the faithful, comforting the questioning and embracing those yearning for a deeper spirituality.

Since the Peg Dolan, R.S.H.M. Campus Ministry Center was named in her honor, it’s enjoyed unprecedented growth: Participants in the first-year retreat have more than tripled; the Christian Life Community, a collection of small faith-sharing groups, has grown to more than 600 participants, making it the largest such program in the United States; the Ignacio Program, which offers international service opportunities, was created; and the Kairos program has expanded to three retreats annually.

More than $2 million was raised in Sister Peg’s name as part of the Right Place. Right Time. The Campaign for LMU to fund the center.

Sister Peg dedicated her life to serving God and all those she encountered. For more than 30 years, she ministered to the LMU community as campus minister, director of Campus Ministry, resident minister, alumni chaplain, moderator of Gryphon Circle and retreat director. She died in October 2009.
