Submissions

LMU Magazine is the magazine of Loyola Marymount University, and LMU Magazine Online is its partner on the Internet. The goal of LMU Magazine in both formats is to offer insightful and provocative stories and information of interest to readers.In general, feature articles are conceived by the magazine staff and assigned to writers; however, unsolicited articles will be considered. Writers should send a letter of interest to the editor along with clips of published articles.

LMU Magazine and LMU Magazine Online welcome first-person submissions for the “My Take” department, which in the print magazine is opposite the inside back cover. In “My Take,” a writer shares an experience, a lesson learned or a reflection on a subject of interest to readers of LMU Magazine. The editors are especially interested in articles that have relevance to the mission, history and traditions of the university or to the experiences of the magazine’s readers. “My Take” is not primarily intended as a place for op-eds. Please submit no more than 650 words and include a two- or three-sentence biography along with a phone number and e-mail address. Not all submissions will be published, but all will be considered.
