When we asked Erlandson to name his favorite guitarist, he listed the following influences.

Joslyn Shoop is assistant coach of the women’s soccer team. We asked her to predict the outcome of the World Cup tournament, which will take place from June 12–July 13. Shoop was one of the best goalkeepers ever to wear an LMU jersey. She was twice named a First Team All-West Coast Conference selection and was the 2005 WCC Defender of the Year. She holds the top two single-season goals-against-averages in LMU history. In January 2007, she was invited to the U.S. Under-21 National Team training camp. After graduation, Shoop played professionally for the Pali Blues Soccer Club and had a stint with the FC Gold Pride Women’s Professional Soccer team. She is a member of the Cal South Olympic Development program coaching staff. Shoop lives in Mar Vista with her husband, Taylor Shoop M.A. ’11, a former LMU baseball player.

Brittany Myers ’12 is a singer-songwriter from Laguna Niguel, California. She is pursuing her music career in Seattle, where she lives. She studied psychology in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts. You can listen to her playlist here.

Roy Yamaguchi is the parent of an LMU senior, Roy, and the founding chef and owner of Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, which blends European cooking techniques and Asian cuisine.

Sapphire Sandalo ’10 co-founded Troll Free Productions, which produces two YouTube shows: “DeToonified,” which reviews and analyzes animated films, and “Toon Buzz” on Channel Frederator, a weekly animation news show. She recently worked on Comedy Central’s “TripTank” and “ADHD on FOX.” As an undergraduate, her animated music video won Best Animation at LMU’s 2009 Film Outside the Frame Film Festival. We asked her to tell us about her favorite short and feature-length animated films.
